This multi-module course will cover the immediate skills to be comfortable camping, applied in a survival situation, or a fascinating course to enjoy learning skills long lost in today's modern society. Open to Youth & Adults!
Modules covered:
- Lost person behavior
- Fire making & ignition sources
- Building of shelters
- Water purification techniques and equipment
- Components of a survival kit
- Tools-safety and sharpening techniques
- Land navigation and wilderness first-aid
Instructor: Dean Copecoge, a survival, tracking, and SERE Instructor. He is also Anishnawbe from the Williams Treaty Area and an Anishinaabe Traditional Knowledge Keeper and Pipe Carrier.

Psychological First-Aid Training
Thursdays: April 3, April 10, April 24 | 6-8pm
Cost: $95.00
Psychological First-Aid is a crisis intervention tool. It provides individuals the means to identify within themselves and others psychological distress, and valuable tools to effectively address it. This course will also focus on tools to be applied to one's wellness and self-care addressing grief, anxiety, and crisis. Our approach is interactive, with examples, video tutorials, and real-world experiences.
Facilitator Dean Copecoge is a certified Psychological First-Aid instructor, an Anishnawbe Traditional Knowledge Keeper, and Pipe Carrier.
