"The Passion of Christ in Times of Adversity"
A contemporary look at a biblical event
Featuring works by the iconic German artist Otto Pankok, the prominent Ukrainian Expressionist Osyp-Roman Sorokhtey, the contemporary Ukrainian artists Danylo Movchan, Katya Lisova, alongside Canadian artist Olha Tkachenko, this exhibition offers a visual trialogue on suffering and endurance throughout the 20th and 21st centuries.
Through the works of these artists, the cross symbolizes a living testimony to the human spirit in the face of war, conflict, and genocide. From the historical shadows of the past to the urgent realities of the present, these works usher us to a shared resilience and an enduring hope.
A powerful reflection upon our reality today.
