For many years, TEMC’s Christmas pageant has been a highlight of the Christmas season, when members of the congregation, their families and friends, and people from the community gather in the sanctuary to celebrate the birth of Christ through Scripture and song. More than 100 volunteers give of their time to make the pageant possible and many months of planning and work go into the two productions.
As well as being a Christmas tradition for the members of our congregation, the pageant provides an opportunity to welcome many of our friends who may not be frequent visitors to the church at other times of the year. The pageant is free to attend – it is our church’s gift to the community – so we are dependent on donations to make it happen. Due to economic conditions being felt by the whole country, our costs have continued to rise this year, so we’re inviting all who wish to support the pageant to become patrons. Patrons will be recognized with their names appearing in the pageant program, unless you advise us that you prefer to remain anonymous. You may choose to donate in memory of a loved one by writing their name in the comments section. You can make your donation online at temc.ca/donate (select “Christmas Pageant Patron”) or by cheque payable to Timothy Eaton Memorial Church (please note “Christmas Pageant Patron” on the memo line). Receipts will be issued in February 2024. We thank you for your generous support.
The Churches-on-the-Hill Food Bank expects to feed more than 500 hungry families in our community this Christmas, and is looking to us for help. Please leave donations of canned and packaged food in the bin in the foyer and cheques (payable to Churches on-the-Hill Food Bank) at the Reception Office. You can also donate online at www.cothfoodbank.ca. Thank you for your support!
